The latest NAV routine genomic evaluation took place as scheduled. NAV carried out genomic prediction for Holstein, RDC and Jersey. Genomic breeding values of bulls are updated to NAV Bull Search after each evaluation.
NAV has also released breeding values for purebred beef bulls and cows. Beef breeding values are updated to NAV Beef Search.

The fourth NAV routine evaluation for this year took place as scheduled. The NAV Bull Search has been updated with new EBV’s and GEBV’s. Read more from the NAV newsletter.
In this evaluation breeding values for metabolic efficiency were published for the first time. This means that sub-index Saved feed includes now two breeding values maintenance efficiency and metabolic efficiency.

At the genetic evaluation in August 2020 Saved feed is included in NTM for all breeds. This is another important piece in the puzzle that makes NTM the most efficient tool for Nordic farmers in selecting for the most profitable cow.
