The latest NAV routine genomic evaluation took place as scheduled. NAV carried out genomic prediction for Holstein, RDC and Jersey.
Genomic breeding values of bulls are updated to NAV Bull Search after each evaluation.

NAV starts to calculate genomic breeding values for crossbred dairy cows. For a start it is genotyped two- and three-way crosses between RDC, Jersey and Holstein that get genomic breeding values. Genotyped crossbred cows get genomic breeding values for almost the same traits as purebred cows.

NAV Interbull Search has been also updated with new Interbull breeding values.
NAV has now released the first breeding values for purebred beef bulls and cows. Breeding values are calculated jointly for calving, growth, and carcass traits for 5 breeds (Angus, Charolais, Simmental, Hereford, and Limousine). Beef breeding values are estimated 4 times per year (March, April, June, and November).
