Single step bruger al information fra b\u00e5de genotypede og ikke-genotypede dyr samtidig. Introduktionen af single step har for\u00e5rsaget \u00e6ndringer i ydelsesindekset. Generelt er \u00e6ndringerne sm\u00e5, men for nogle dyr er \u00e6ndringerne mere markante. Fordi ydelse har den h\u00f8jeste v\u00e6gt i NTM, har \u00e6ndringer i ydelsesindekset en stor indvirkning p\u00e5 NTM.<\/p>\n<p>I denne indeksrunde introducerer NAV det f\u00f8rste metanindeks. Det beregnes for Holstein tyre f\u00f8dt efter 2008. Tyrene skal v\u00e6re genomisk testet i det nordiske system og have betalt det nordiske gebyr eller have officiel NTM og mindst 10 d\u00f8tre med metanobservationer.
